Homer Tompkins, Jr., 95 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was born April 23, 1928 in Tuscumbia, Missouri the son of the late Homer Tompkins, Sr. and Opal (Rains) Barbour. On October 17, 1948 in Owensville, Missouri he was united in marriage to Ruby (Workman) Tompkins who preceded him in death on July 29, 2012.
Survivors include,
Sons, Michael Ray Tompkins of Eldon, MO; Gary & Sydney Tompkins of Eldon, MO; Dennis & Jodi Tompkins of Eldon, MO
Eleven Grandchildren, Twelve Great-Grandchildren & Eight Great-Great-Grandchildren
Along with his wife Ruby, four sons, Ronald Lee, Stephen Gregory, Roger Allen & Randall Homer Tompkins, and a daughter, Susan Elaine Reddick preceded him in death.
Homer was a member of the First Christian Church of Eldon, MO and was owner operator of Tompkins Implement of Eldon and owner of Tompkins Farms Inc.
Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2024 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO. Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM also at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Foglesong officiating. Burial will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery.
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials in his name are suggested to the First Christian Church General Fund of Eldon, MO.
