Gertrude "Trudy" L. (Hoppe) Sloan

Gertrude “Trudy” L. Sloan, 91, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023 at California Care Center in California, Missouri.  She was born April 19, 1932 in Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Charles and Clara Marie (Wendt) Hoppe.  On August 17, 1954 she was united in marriage to Gerald “Jerry” Lee Sloan who preceded her in death on December 2, 2005.

Survivors include,

Son, Steven Sloan (Stacey Hood) of Eldon, MO

Daughter, Mendy Becklenberg of Owensville, MO

Four Grandchildren, Jeremy Stewart (Kelly), Lisa Nelson (Shannon), Lacy Welschmeyer (Jeremy) & Lydia Foster (Brian)

Seven Great-Grandchildren, Brett, Bailee, Drake, Deegan, Olyvia, Kinsley & Oaklee

Brother, Fred Hoppe (Dora) of IL

Trudy was preceded in death by an infant daughter and five siblings.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 PM with Randy Polson officiating.  Private Family Interment at the Eldon City Cemetery.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials in her name are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
