Georgia Lee (Black) Opie of Eldon, Missouri passed away August 4, 2024. She was born March 26, 1937 to Daniel and Juanita (Jobe) Black. She was married June 23, 1956 to Donald Lee Opie who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: daughter, Debra (Tom) Green of Eldon, MO, son, Alan (Kim) Opie of Eldon, MO, granddaughter, Shaundra (Chris) Conner of Walnut, IA, 3 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren, sister DoraAnn Hager, step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Martha Siegel.
Georgia was a beloved member of the community. She was a girl scout leader for many years. She retired from Miller Auto Supply after 30 years of service. She maintained
friendships with her high school girlfriends through monthly gatherings. She enjoyed spending time with family and shopping.
Private family interment of ashes will be at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Eldon schools; please make checks payable to Eldon School District in care of student needs.
