Gene Bauer

Gene Bauer, 66, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 at his residence in Eldon, Missouri.  He was born December 11, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Eugene Joseph Bauer, Sr. and Geraldine A. (Supinski) Hoehn.

Survivors include,

Daughter, Katherine S. Bauer of Chicago, IL

Son, Kenneth E.B. Vaughn of Versailles, MO

Mother, Geraldine Hoehn of St. Louis, MO

Siblings, Mary Ann Bartman (Larry); Jeffrey A. Bauer; Joseph W. Bauer; Timothy M. Bauer; Christina M. Benoit (Martin)

Step-Brother, Douglas Hoehn, Step-Sister, Sheila Barker

Several Nieces & Nephews

His father, Eugene Joseph Bauer, Sr., step-mother, Mary Bauer and step-father, Donald Hoehn preceded him in death.

Gene was a member of and office president of Delta Chi at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO.  He was owner/operator of Ultimate Fitness Gym in Eldon, MO and was a former Boy Scout receiving his Eagle Scout.  He was an avid golfer.  Gene never met a stranger and helped to deliver meals for the Eldon Senior Center.

A Celebration of Gene’s life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO. 

Memorials in his name are suggested to the Eldon Senior Center.

Per his wishes, his body has been cremated and private family interment will be held at a later date.  Gene’s wishes were to be an organ donor and his wishes were honored.
