Gary Rains Obituary

GARY LEE RAINS

Matthew 22: 37 - 39

Gary L. Rains, 54, of Eldon, Missouri passed from this life into

eternal life of heart failure Friday, September 3, 2021, at his

residence.

Gary was born on September 15, 1966, in Tuscumbia, Missouri,

the son of Donald and Betty (Albertson) Rains. His father

preceded him in death.

Gary graduated from Cole R-V High School in 1984 in Eugene,

Missouri. He was very interested in auto body work and attended

Tri-County Technical School to further his education. He was

highly sought to paint automobiles and motorcycles due to his

talent. He was a jack of all trades, there wasn’t anything he

couldn’t do.

Gary loved to spend time with his family and friends. He also

enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially at the creek. He was

a member of Landmark Church in Jefferson City, Missouri. If

asked Gary would give you the shirt off his back. He helped

anyone who asked and was a very kind person.

He is survived by his daughters, Melanie Rains (fiancé Russell);

April Wilkerson (Brayton), step-son Brandon Faughn; mother

Betty Rains; sisters Debbie Rains-Foote (John); Cathy Hart

(Terry); Donna Helmig (Donald) and brother Douglas Rains (Lisa).

Family, friends and others whose lives Gary touched are invited to

the CELEBRATION OF LIFE gathering to be held at Gary’s

residence, 8 Storage Rd, Eldon, Missouri, on Sunday, September

19, 2021. The gathering will be held 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. to reminisce,

grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat.
