Etta Louise Schulte, 89, of Mary’s Home, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Miller County Care and Rehab in Tuscumbia, Missouri. She was born December 2, 1934 in Mary’s Home, Missouri the daughter of the late Edward and Angeline (Sanning) Bungart. On September 13, 1952 in Mary’s Home, Missouri she was united in marriage to Bernard Schulte who preceded her in death on March 8, 2019. Etta was a homemaker, also employed with MODOT, Cole R-V school and Our Lady of the Snows Credit Union.

Children, Tom Schulte of Jefferson City, MO; Jerry Schulte (Debbie) of Mary’s Home, MO; Herschel Schulte of Mary’s Home, MO; Marietta Rutledge (Roy) of Rocky Mount, MO; Sara Kempker (Matt) of Mary’s Home, MO
Sixteen Grandchildren, Emily Blumer, Maria Gardner, Jacob Schulte, Annelise Schulte, Maggie Albano, Eric Schulte, Brandon Schulte, Victoria Berendzen, Angela Farris, Amelia Stegeman, Becky Carroll, Phillip Rutledge, Kelli Hart, Abigail McDougle, Bonnie Hood and Lewis Kempker.

Brother-in-laws, Maurice Schulte, Kenneth Schulte, Michael Schulte (Kathy), Danny Schulte (Cynda), Sam Schulte (Donna), Jim Rehagen.
Sister-in-laws, Rose Oligschlaeger (Tom), LueAnn Hogg (Jerry), Elizabeth Heckemeyer (Ralph), Betty Schulte.
Along with her parents and husband, sisters, Adele Lueckenhoff, Helen Bisges, Carol Schaffer and Angie Wieberg, and brothers, Raymond Bungart, Harold Bungart, Clem Bungart, Elroy Bungart, sister-in-law Caroline Rehagen, brother-in-law Wilfred Schulte, Cletus Schulte (Wilma) and a great-granddaughter, Grace Farris preceded her in death.
Etta loved quilting, cooking, sewing, gardening, fishing, frying fish, traveling, and camping, and spending time on the Osage river. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the only person who could cook BBQ raccoon and you would want to eat it. She had a special place in her heart for people with special needs.
Visitation will be Friday, August 23, 2024 from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church with the Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Christopher Aubuchon officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery.
Memorials in her name are suggested to Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery Fund or Our Lady of the Snows Catholic School.
