Esther (Bridges) Giddens

Esther Giddens, 81, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Eldon Nursing and Rehab in Eldon, Missouri.  She was born April 30, 1938 in Alton, Missouri the daughter of the late William Harry and Stella Francis (Sisco) Bridges.  On March 30, 1957 in Tunica, Mississippi she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Giddens who preceded her in death on August 9, 2014.

Survivors include,

Daughters, Shari Giddens of Eldon, MO; Crys Howell (Larry) of Pekin, IL; Carla Hudson of Eldon, MO; Anita Hernandez (Jesse) of Lake Ozark, MO

Son, Jimmy Giddens (Trish) of Osage Beach, MO

Twenty-two Grandchildren, Twenty-five Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Granddaughter

Sisters, Maxine Leonard of Doniphan, MO; Louise Switzer of Doniphan, MO

A son, Billy Giddens, three brothers, one sister, and one grandson, Justin Giddens preceded her in death.

Esther was a member of the Ninth Street Christian Church of Eldon, MO and attended the Pekin First Christian Church of Nazarene in Pekin, IL.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM with Michael Walton, Minister officiating.  Burial will follow at the Versailles Cemetery in Versailles, MO.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials in her name are suggested to the Ninth Street Christian Church of Eldon, MO.
