Elzie "James" Phillips

Elzie “James” Phillips, 88, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.  He was born November 20, 1937 in Olean, Missouri the son of Elzie and Emma Phillips.  On November 22, 1958 he was united in marriage to Norma (Witten) Phillips who preceded him in death on March 13, 2021.

Survivors include,

Brother-in-law, Earl Stanley Witten

Nieces and Nephews

Along with his parents and his wife, a son, Randal James Phillips and a sister, Opal Winters preceded him in death.

Elzie was a member of the Aurora Springs Baptist Church of Eldon, MO.

Visitation will be Friday, May 15, 2026 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Tim Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO.

Memorials in his name are suggested to Aurora Springs Baptist Church of Eldon, MO.
