Obituary

Ed (Sonny) Sanning, 88, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.  He was born May 13, 1932 in Mary’s Home, Missouri the son of the late Otto and Prue (Wright) Sanning.  On June 17, 1954 in Eldon, Missouri he was united in marriage to Doris (Evans) Sanning who survives of the home.

 

Other survivors include,

 

Daughter, Lynn Robinson (Rick) of Rocky Mount, MO

 

Son, Greg Sanning (Fiance’ Rhonda) of Eldon, MO

 

Two Grandchildren, Brian Robinson (Amber) of St. Elizabeth, MO; Kelly Edwards (Travis) of Tuscumbia, MO

 

Two Great Grandchildren, Matthias Robinson & Justus Robinson

 

Ed served in the United States Air Force.  He was employed with TWA for eighteen years in Kansas City, MO.  He then moved to Rocky Mount, MO where he founded and was owner/operator of Ed Sanning Real Estate Inc. until his retirement.  Ed was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eldon, MO where he was a member of the Eldon Knights of Columbus. He was also a member and past president of the Rocky Mount Lions Club.  He was an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed playing golf.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Callistus C. Okoroji officiating.  Interment with follow at the Eldon City Cemetery with Full Military Honors presented.

 

Memorials in his name are suggested to the Mid-Missouri Honor Flight.
