Dwight Ronald Stroad

Dwight Ronald Stroad, 87 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Lee House of Eldon, Missouri.  He was born May 3, 1936 in Montreal, Missouri the son of the late Samuel P. and Laura (Stoner) Stroad.  On June 4, 1955 in Eldon, Missouri he was united in marriage to Diana Joyce (Wallace) Stroad who survives.

Children, Denise Skouby of Harrisburg, MO; Danetta Turner of Columbia, MO; Darin Stroad of Englewood, FL

Seven Grandchildren, Natasha Hastings (Brian), Anthony Barnes, Lance Stroad, Alexis Gallmeyer (Andrew), Jade Reinhart, Daisie Reinhart & Ryan Schroff

Eight Great Grandchildren

A son, Dana Stroad and seventeen siblings preceded him in death.

Dwight was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church of Eldon, MO, serving as an Elder.  He was owner and operator of American Family Insurance for fifty-one years.  Also a member of the Kiwanis Club and was involved in community theater.  Dwight was founder of the Dogwood Hills State School in Eldon, MO.

Visitation will be Friday, May 19, 2023 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Bethany Lutheran Church with the Funeral Service beginning at 3:00 PM with Pastor Peter Lange officiating.  Burial will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery.

Memorials in his name are suggested to Bethany Lutheran Church or In Care of the Family for a Memorial Fund in Dwight Stroad’s name.
