Dorris (Roark) Meyer

Dorris (Roark) Meyer, 86, formerly of Denver, Colorado, Eldon, Missouri and most recently Holts Summit, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Valley Park Assisted Living Center in Holts Summit, Missouri.  She was born July 19, 1932 in Miller County, Missouri the daughter of the late William Elba and Ersa (Jeffries) Roark.  On January 24, 1950 in Pocahontas, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Lyman “Speed” Meyer who preceded her in death on October 13, 1993.

Children, Lynn Remy (Ron) of Sedalia, CO; Lyman “Sonny” Meyer (Yvonne) of Meta, MO; Steve Meyer (Carol) of Aurora, CO

Grandchildren, Regan Mozingo (Schno); Annie Remy; Dana Dietrich (Patrick); Abe Varney; Crystal Meyer; Rachel Meyer; Cassie Meyer; Lori Patterson; Jennifer Swann (Tony); Marla Bunn (Ben); Steve Meyer, Jr.; Amy Bratch (Rob); Chris Fugazzotto (Michelle); Delicia Mildenberg (Chuck); Josh Fugazzotto (Clarissa); Jennifer Fugazzotto

Six siblings preceded her in death.

Dorris was owner and operator of Beauty Salons in Eldon and Tuscumbia.  She was a member of the Friendly Hills Baptist Church of Lakewood, CO and the Red Hat Club.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 PM.  Her body has been cremated and Private Family Burial will be held at the Eldon City Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials in her name are suggested to the Special Olympics or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
