Donzell Lawrence

Donzell Thomas Lawrence 81, formerly of Galveston, Tx.  passed away in Versailles, Missouri on Thursday, January 21, 2025. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 15th at 10:00am at, Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 312 Rose St.  Texas City, Texas, Donzell, affectionately called E.T. by many was the eldest of six children born to the late Atmos and Thelma (Williams) Thomas on July 22, 1943 in Galveston, Texas.  

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, sister and aunt.  She was a member of the Second Christian Disciples of Christ Church.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a grandson. 

She leaves a legacy of love with her children, Jennifer Washington (Donald) of LaMarque TX., Jerome (Bubba) Lawrence Jr., Jeter Lawrence (Eric) of Galveston, TX., JoSandra (JoJo) Thomas (Craig) of Eldon,MO . 

Nine grandchildren, Erikka Frances, Jerome Lawrence III, E’Keisha Lawrence, Ashley Judge, Megan Coppage, Dawn Washington, Jailan Subject, Payton Subject and Ashley Lawrence.   11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  Siblings Pamela Warner (Elbert), of Galveston, Tx.  Thelma (LeeLee) Hunter of Webster, TX., and Stephen (Jazzie) Thomas (Jeanette). A host of nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials in her name are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
