Donna Ruth Ferguson, 78, of California, MO passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at California Care Center.
She was born July 29, 1937 in Moniteau County, daughter of Herman and Edna (Kiesling) Tuttle who have preceded her in death. She was married to Bobby F. Ferguson who preceded her in death October 28, 2002.
Donna retired from the Department of Corrections after 41 years and had worked over 20 years part time for House of Bargains. She loved to garden and grow flowers, she was a gifted crafter enjoying sewing and cross-stitching, her favorite joy came from being a Grandma.
She is survived by three children of Robert Wallenmeyer: Two daughters Debbie (Steve) Gonzales of Jacksonville, FL and Roberta (David) Rothstein of California, MO, One son William (Mary) Wallenmeyer, Shermans Dale, PA one step-daughter in law Debbie Ferguson of California, MO, One brother John Tuttle, Grain Valley, MO, Two sisters Joyce (Charles) Crook and Sally (William) Vogel both of California, MO. 7 grandchildren, 2 Step-grandchildren, and 8 step-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Ruth Ann Wallenmeyer and a stepson Wayne Ferguson, her brothers, Gene and Paul Tuttle, her sister Betty Rohrbach and her grandson Adam Wallenmeyer.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, California MO with burial to follow at the Moniteau Evangelical Cemetery near Jamestown, MO. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday also at the funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Moniteau Evangelical Cemetery.
