Derek Thomas Bishop

Derek Thomas Bishop, 31, of Eldon, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 20, 2026 in Eldon, Missouri.  He was born on March 14, 1995 the son of Kirk Bishop and Dodi Taylor.

Sister, Amber Bishop of Eldon, MO

Grandmother, Susan Doolin and Step-Grandfather John Doolin, and grandmother Rhonda Bishop

Nephew, Toby Davenport

Uncle, Jason (Brenda) Bishop

Aunt, Stacey Lewis

Cousins, Justin and Cody Bishop, Kelsea and Kody Taylor, and many other cousins

He was preceded in death by Grandfathers Charles Taylor and Forrest Bishop, Uncle Toby Taylor, and Sister Alisha Taylor.

Derek was silly and goofy, and loved to make people laugh.  He had a big heart who always had a smile on his face.  He loved the Kansas City Royals, Missouri Tigers, and the Kansas City Chiefs, and excelled at playing Madden football video games.  Derek loved Jesus, and being around his family.  He overcame a lot in his life, and cherished his favorite bible verse of Philippians 4:13. 

Cremation is planned with a Celebration of Life planned at a later date.  Memorials in his name are suggested In Care of the Family P.O. Box 5 Eldon, MO 65026.
