Obituary

Dennis Thompson, 80 of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Villa Marie in Jefferson City, Missouri.  He was born January 9, 1941 in Miller County, Missouri the son of the late Harley and Ruby (Dorl) Thompson.  On October 7, 1960 in Lake Ozark, Missouri he was united in marriage to Jerry (Atteberry) Thompson who survives of the home.

 

Other survivors include,

 

Son, Tim Thompson (Gail) of Lake St. Louis, MO

 

Daughter, Tracy Peaks (Phil) of Fulton, MO

 

Grandchildren, Blair Sumner (Tyler) of Atlanta, GA; Brooke Thompson of Columbus, OH; Blake Parker of Springfield, MO; Bailey Parker of Springfield, MO

 

Sister, Dixie Webster of Eldon, MO

 

Along with his parents, a brother Donald Thompson preceded him in death.

 

Dennis was employed with MODOT for thirty-six years.  He was a member of the Ninth Street Christian Church of Eldon, MO.  He was a big fan of Missouri sports teams and an avid hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed spending time on his farm and dearly loved spending time with his family.

 

Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with Ken Harland officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO.

 

Memorials in his name are suggested to the Ninth Street Christian Church Building Fund.

 

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
