Deborah Calton Obituary

Deborah Della (Johnson) Calton, 71 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Lake Regional Medical Center in Osage Beach, Missouri.  She was born January 3, 1955 in Coos Bay, Oregon the daughter of the late Charley and Juanita (Johnson) Johnson.  On September 19, 1981 in Versailles, Missouri she was united in marriage to Gene Calton who preceded her in death on January 5, 2013. 

Survivors include,

Children, Gene Benjamin Calton and Christy LeAnne Middlebrook (Jamie) of Eldon, MO

Sister-in-law, Becky Johnson

Nieces, Dena Mae Johnson and Miranda Johnson; Nephews, Edward Johnson, Charley (Beth) Johnson, and Jessie Johnson.

Boyfriend, Robert Salmons

Along with her parents and husband, a sister, Freda Johnson and two brothers, Jessie and Edward Johnson preceded her in death.

In her younger years, she worked at Walmart as a service desk manager before her health complications forced her onto disability. She loved being outdoors, her dogs, and watching Bar Rescue the TV Show. She loved and collected a variety of stuffed Yoshi characters from Super Mario Brothers. She loved her second amendment rights and was a large supporter of the NRA. She has a lot of close friends and family that loved her and will remember her.

Per her wishes, her body has been cremated and she will be buried with her late husband at a later date at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorials are suggested to the Missouri Department of Conservation or the NRA.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon, MO.
