David Morris

David G Morris Jr, 49, of Eldon, died Wednesday, September 16, 2020 as a result of complications from ALS (Lou Gehrig disease). He was born November 18, 1970 in Jefferson City, to David and Nita (Shoemaker) Morris.

He was a 1989 graduate of Eldon High School. After graduation David served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He married Christi (Thoenen) on May 25, 2010 in Gulf Shores AL. David was an over the road truck driver and when he was home on the weekends he loved to unwind with a cold beverage and he had a knack for grilling, smoking and cooking anything he could. David truly lived life to the fullest and loved to dance.

David is survived by his wife Christi of the home, his four children, Jacob Morris of Hummelstown, PA, Josh Morris (Rachel) of Eugene, MO, Jeremy Morris and Madison Morris of Jefferson City, his mother, Nita Morris of Eldon, MO,  two grandchildren, Damien Morris of PA & Lilian Irene Reisner of Jefferson City. Three step children, Taylor Werdehausen (Carson) of Cape Girardeau, Jeramey & Kolby Werdehausen of Eldon. Two step grandchildren Dylan Backer & Demi Holloway

Other survivors include three sisters Angie Kreiling (Darrell), Holly Thomas (Cole), Kari Salsman

(Larry) and five nephews, James Kreiling, Colter Bond, Parker, Lincoln, & Griffin Salsman and a

favorite niece, Camri Bond, all of Eldon

David is preceded in death by his dad, David Morris Sr, and grandparents Gail & Irene Morris and Merle & Gwen Shoemaker.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM with Nolan Scott officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenmore Memorial Gardens near Barnett, MO.
