Daniel Joseph Butler, Sr.

Daniel Joseph Butler, Sr., 72, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023 at SSM St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, Missouri.  He was born July 2, 1950 in Grand Forks, North Dakota the son of the late John Joseph and Barbara (Kuntz) Butler.

Survivors include,

Sons, Daniel Butler (Stephanie) of Odessa, MO; Chris Butler (Jessica) of Lake Ozark, MO

Daughters, Stacy Mayer (Alex) of Crystal Lakes, MO; Brittany Nolan (Ben) of Lansing, KS; Tiffany Kaufman (Tucker) of Leavenworth, KS

Brothers, Steve Butler (Bonnie) of Mesa, AZ; Richard Butler (Linda) of Grand Forks, ND

Eleven Grandchildren & Four Great Grandchildren

Along with his parents, two sisters, Mary Ann Cothren & Susan Dryer, and a brother, John “Butch” Butler preceded him in death.

Danny served proudly in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.  He was employed as a maintenance technician for the United States Postal Service for many years.  He had a great love for sports, especially watching his grandchildren.  He enjoyed going to and watching races with his buddies and playing bingo when visiting family.  Danny loved his coffee and joked often that he could not function without two pots daily.  After moving to the Lake of the Ozarks, his favorite place to be was on the deck of his condo overlooking the water and watching the boats.  He loved his children and his grandchildren fiercely and was proud of them all.

His family will gather to privately celebrate his amazing life.
