Charles “Charlie” Wayne Allen, 77, of High Point, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Harry S. Truman VA Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born April 17, 1948 in Eldon, Missouri the son of the late Raymond and Nelda (Cotten) Allen. On May 27, 1972 in High Point, Missouri he was united in marriage to Janet Ilene (Porter) Allen who preceded him in death on November 10, 2024. They were married 52 years before her passing.

Daughters, Amy Wright (William) of High Point, MO; Mandy Asbury of Eldon, MO; Shelly Davis (Matt) of Eldon, MO
Nine Grandchildren, Kamdyn, Kendal, Brady (Camri), Porter, Owen, Kaydin, Colten, Chasen and Kallyn
Brother, Clayton Allen (Peggy) of Holts Summit, MO
Sister, Christy Flaugher (Don) of Holts Summits, MO
Several Nieces and Nephews and Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews
Along with his parents and wife, his brother Garrel Allen, proceeded him in death.
Charlie was a proud member of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Corticelli Baptist Church where he served as a trustee, an adult Sunday school teacher and song leader for over 40 years. He also served on the High Point Community Renewal Association and was a pillar of the High Point community.
He worked as a glazier in the Columbia area for the majority of his life, and even in retirement was still installing glass just a few weeks before he passed.
He was an avid sports fan always following the St. Louis Cardinals, the Missouri Tigers and the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed watching, reading about, and talking about his favorite teams with family and friends.
Charlie greatly enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting and musical events at Eldon and High Point schools. Charlie loved fishing, hunting, landscaping, gardening and spending time with family at his pool.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Corticelli Baptist Church in Russellville, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM with Dr. Greg Morrow officiating. Burial will follow at the High Point Cemetery with Full Military Honors presented.
Memorials in his name are suggested to the Corticelli Baptist Church or the High Point Renewal Association.
