Charles Vaughan, 79, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025 at his residence in Eldon, Missouri. He was born December 8, 1945 in Eldon, Missouri the son of the late Wesley Columbus and Desdia (Watts) Vaughan. On December 23, 1967 in Eldon, Missouri he was united in marriage to Sharon Kay (James) Vaughan who preceded him in death on July 27, 2024.
Survivors include,
Sons, Steven Vaughan of Eldon, MO; Joel Vaughan of Eldon, MO; Craig Vaughan (Alexis) of Eldon, MO
Five Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren
Siblings, Mary, Norma, Gaithel, Joyce, and Terry
Six siblings preceded him in death.
Charlie served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a Physical Education teacher, basketball coach and an instructor for Driver’s Education for over twenty years in the Eldon and Eugene School Districts. Charlie was an avid fisherman and a member of the “Six Pack”.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Graveside Service beginning at 1:30 PM at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO with Pastor Tim Smith officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
