Carole Nadene (Koechner) Marcum

Carole Nadene Koechner Marcum, age 71, of Jefferson City, MO, passed away November 16, 2014, at her home in Jefferson City. She was born February 25, 1943 in Clarksburg, the daughter of Frederick Koechner and Pauline (Belo) Koechner, both of whom preceded her in death. Carole was united in marriage on June 2, 1962, at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Tipton, to Alvin Henry Jacob Marcum, who is deceased. She was, also, preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy Dahlstein (died March 6, 1993), and Geraldine Koechner (died April 10, 1940). Carole graduated from Tipton High School. Carole was the owner of Marcum's Grooming in Jefferson City. Carole was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral in Jefferson City and Annunciation Catholic Church in California, American Kennel Club, Republican Party, Tea Party, and Judicial Watch. She enjoyed caring for dogs, cats, and other animals. She enjoyed creating artwork, going to craft shows, collecting antiques, and genealogy research. Carole will be sadly missed by her surviving children including: her son, Samuel Alvin Marcum with his wife Cheryl Marcum of Russellville; one daughter, Natalie Dee Marcum Dykes with her husband James Dykes of Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Zachary, Hayden, Riley, and Gavin; and one sister, Loretta Steinkuehler of Jefferson City. Carole requested private graveside family memorial services which will be held at a later date. She will be buried at Annunciation Catholic Church, California, MO.
