CMsgt Charles J. Kempker (ret), 59, of Troy, IL, born November 19, 1958 in Tuscumbia, MO, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 25, 2018 at his home.

Charles was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, IL.  He retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of faithful, dedicated service.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree council # 9266 and 4th degree council # 3442 and Air Force Sergeants Association.  Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence B. and Sophia E. (nee Evers) Kempker; brothers, Timothy, William and Patrick Kempker.

Surviving are his wife, Cheryl L. (nee Vogt) Kempker of Troy, IL; children, Lynnette (Craig) Boyher of Amarillo, TX, Lori (Aaron) Snead of Woodriver, IL, Scott M. Foster of Troy, IL and Richard Foster of Mary’s Home, MO; grandchildren, Brenden and Darrius Boyher, Erica (Michael) Stahlschmidt, Trisha (Scott) McCartney, Zachary Miller, Jake Boyher, Elizabeth Stonecipher, Meghan (Matt) Smith, Justina Foster, Cory, Andrew and Kelsey Foster; great-grandchildren, Willow and Porter Smith, Jaxon Wisdom, Amelia, Charley and Sophia Stahlschmidt and Liam McCartney; brother, June A. (Sondra) Kempker of Mary’s Home, MO; uncle cousin and friend.

Friends may call 5 to 8 pm Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL.  Then to Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, 274 Highway H, Eugene, MO 65032 for visitation on Friday June 29, from 5 to 8 pm and Saturday, June 30 from 9 to 10 am.

Funeral Mass will be held 10 am Saturday, June 30 at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Eugene/ Mary’s Home, MO.  Interment with full military honors will be in Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery.
