Benjamin "Benny" Squires

Benjamin “Benny” Squires, 94, of Rocky Mount, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his residence in Rocky Mount, Missouri.  He was born September 3, 1926 in Boone County, Missouri the son of Walter Richard and Artie G. Squires.  On November 28, 1986 in Columbia, Missouri he was united in marriage to Minnie (Holiman) Crane Squires who survives of the home.

Other survivors include, 

Daughters, Norma Mills (Patrick) of Lake Ozark, MO; Linda Hilgedick (Ben) of Bonne Terre, MO; Nancy Erickson (Tim) of Bolivar, MO; Sarah Weber (Kurt) of Mexico, MO

Seven Grandchildren & Five Great Grandchildren

One sister preceded him in death.

“Benny” served in the United States Army.  He was a member of the American Legion in Columbia, MO, the AMVETS in Rocky Mount, MO, the Order of Eagles in Columbia, MO and the Order of Moose in Moberly, MO.  He enjoyed music and dancing and was also a member of the Missouri Playboy’s along with being an avid fisherman.

Per his wishes, his body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.

Memorials in his name are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
