Astrid Lieselotte (Steinschen) Edwards

Astrid Lieselotte Edwards, 81, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026 at her home in Eldon, Missouri.  She was born September 29, 1944 in Berlin, Germany the daughter of the late George and Ursula Steinschen.  On December 14, 1991 in Edgar Springs, Missouri she was united in marriage to Wendell Todd Edwards who survives of the home.

Children, Pamela L. Brasel of Yankton, ND; Michelle M. Rhodes of Texarkana, TX; Eric R. Stacks (Dawne) of Eldon, MO; Rebecca A. Stacks of Rockville, IN

Daughter-in-law, Lucy Edwards of Virginia Beach, VA

Nine Grandchildren and Sixteen Great-Grandchildren

Along with her parents, two brothers, Klauss and Ingo Peckarek, a step-son, Marco Edwards and a son-in-law, Virgil Brasel preceded her in death.

Today Heaven gained a beautiful angel!  She lived 81 full years, coming to this country from Germany at a young age and filling every season of her life with joy, strength, and love.  She always was the life of the party!

She was vibrant, full of life, and always a light to be around.  Her laughter and spirit will forever live on in our hearts.  Until we meet again Oma thank you for some great memories along the way and thank you Lord for one last Christmas with our Oma, we love you so much!

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Graveside Service to follow at the Eldon City Cemetery.

Memorials in her name are suggested to Friends of Animals.
