Arnold Elmo Zimmerman

Arnold Elmo Zimmerman, 85, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Lincoln Care Center in Lincoln, MO. He was born November 13, 1928 son of Sylvester Samuel and Lillian Frances (Howard) Zimmerman. He was married to Alberta Jennings on June 23, 1962 and she preceded him in death. Arnold worked at Ellis-Fischel Hospital in Columbia, MO for over 30 years. He enjoyed working with horses and mules and was an avid coon hunter. He graduated from Prairie Home High School. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He is survived by one son William Zimmerman, five daughters, Beth Gottsman, Barbara Cruser (Michael) Kathy Estill, Debbie Young, Michelle Craig, Two sisters, Marie Randolph and Francis Smith. 11 grandchildren, Zoe, Jayna, Chris, Denten, Tyler, Amanda, Michael, Tina, Jack, Gena, Raevin, and 12 Great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 10 to 11:00 am at the Roll Funeral Home, California, MO with services to follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Strickfaden Cemetery near Prairie Home, MO Memorials are suggested to the Ellis-Fischel Hospital.
