Alma Agnes (Evers) Koetting, age 100 of Mary’s Home, Mo, passed away Saturday November 4, 2023, at Miller County Care & Rehab Center.
She was born February 15, 1923, in Mary’s Home, Mo., the daughter of George Evers and Frances (Sprenger) Evers.
On June 26, 1941, she was united in marriage in Mary’s Home, Mo., to Alvin H Koetting Sr.
Mrs. Koetting was previously a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church and Cemetery Committee, Our Lady of the Snows Credit Union Board, Mary’s Home Quilter’s Club, Mary’s Home Senior Citizens, Legion of Mary, and Our Lady of the Snows Altar Sodality. She owned and operated Koetting’s Feed Store and Trucking Company in Mary’s Home for 33 years with her late husband.
Survivors include nine children: two sons and daughters-in-laws, Alvin H Jr & Emma Jean Koetting, Mary’s Home, Mo. and Robert & Mary Koetting, Wardsville, Mo.; seven daughters and son-in-laws, Jane & Donald Kempker, St Martins, Mo., Betty Berendzen, Holts Summit, Mo., Carol Berendzen, Wardsville, Mo., Kathy & Michael Schulte, Brazito, Mo., Rita & Leon Buschjost, St. Elizabeth, Mo., Linda & Charles Wilde, St Elizabeth, Mo., Marla & Leon Kirkweg, Mary’s Home, Mo. 25 Grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin, one sister Veronica (Evers) Bax; 2 brothers Louis Evers & Willard Evers; 2 son-in-laws William Berendzen & Dan Berendzen.
Visitation will be at the Our Lady of the Snows Center from 9:00-11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
Funeral Mass at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Mary’s Home, Mo. with Fr Christopher Aubuchon and Deacon Steve Schwartze officiating. Interment in Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery, Mary’s Home, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, School, or Cemetery.
