Ron Wallis, 68 of Eugene, Missouri passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017.  He was born December 5, 1948 to the late Louie and Ruby (Blankenship) Wallis.  He was united in marriage to Darlene (Berendzen) Wallis on December 27, 1969 in Mary’s Home, who survives in the home.

Other survivors include a son, Matt Wallis (Bev) of Warrenton, MO, two daughters, Jenny Sides (Steve) of Jefferson City, MO; Hope Wallis of Prairie Village, KS, and five grandchildren, Ashleigh, Kyle, Jake, Will & Stella.  He is also survived by a sister, Margie Crowe (Joe) of Eugene, MO. and numerous in-laws, nieces & nephews

Ron was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mary’s Home, MO.  He was a board member of Our Lady of the Snows Credit Union, a past board member and president of Cole County R-5 School District and president of Spring Garden Cemetery in Eugene, MO.

Ron was a nature-lover who enjoyed all things outdoors.  He was known in the Spring Garden community for sharing the bountiful harvest from his garden and hunting and fishing trips.  He always had time to visit and share stories.  He also enjoyed playing card games with neighbors and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, July 28, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mary’s Home, MO with a Prayer Service beginning at 4:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church.  Private Family Interment will be held at Spring Garden Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials in his name are suggested to Spring Garden Cemetery of Eugene, MO.
