Raymond Leroy Montavy, Sr.

Raymond Leroy Montavy, Sr., 80, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles, Missouri.  He was born December 6, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of the late Leonard and Doris (Davis) Montavy.  On June 30, 1962 he was united in marriage to Barbara Jean (Reed) Montavy who survives of the home.

Children, Pamela Campbell (James W.) of Eldon, MO; Sue E. Cowell (Gary) of Versailles, MO; Raymond Leroy Montavy, Jr. (Mary) of Olean, MO; Richard Montavy (Angela) of Eldon, MO; Kendall Montavy (Karla) of Eldon, MO

Seventeen Grandchildren; Twenty-seven Great Grandchildren & Eight Great Great Grandchildren

Siblings, Joyce Montavy-May of Eldon, MO; Bev J. Warren of Independence, MO; Kenny Montavy of Independence, MO; Danny Montavy of Grain Valley, MO; LaDonna Way of Excelsior Springs, MO

A granddaughter, two sisters, Carol Brown & Earlene Baker, three brothers, Mike, Larry & Sonny Montavy, and Step Mother, Georgia Montavy preceded him in death.

Raymond served in the United States Navy.  He was employed with Enloe Aluminum until his retirement.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eldon, MO and a member of the VFW Post 2442 of Eldon, MO.  He was active as a volunteer for the Relay for Life.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with Full Military Honors at 5:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home.  Interment will be private for the family at a later date to be held at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO.
