Norman W. Rush

Norman W. Rush, 87, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at his residence in Kansas City, Kansas.  He was born December 7, 1931 in Olean, Missouri the son of the late Ishmael L. and Marie Rush.  On April 25, 1953 in Las Cruces, New Mexico he was united in marriage to Ileen (Carrender) Rush who survives of the home.

Children, David W. Rush (Dolores) of Grandview, MO; Larry G. Rush (Angie) of Versailles, MO; Sharon K. Steen (Bryan) of Independence, MO; Mark Rush (Jennifer) of Wardsville, MO; Brenda R. Dotson (John) of Kansas City, KS

Ten Grandchildren & Six Great Grandchildren

Brother, Billy D. Rush (Ruby) of Kansas City, KS 

Along with his parents, two brothers, Gene E. Rush and Jimmy D. Rush preceded him in death.

Norman was a member of the Metropolitan Church of the Nazarene where he served as a trustee.  He served in the United States Army.  He was employed as a Boilermaker for most of his working career and retired after five years employment with the Excelsior Springs School Systems.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.  Funeral Service will be Friday, November 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM also at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Frye officiating.  Burial will follow at Rush Chapel Cemetery in Mary’s Home, MO with Full Military Honors presented.
