Maxine Fletcher, 87, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Eldon Nursing & Rehab in Eldon, Missouri. She was born June 23, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of the late Ralph and Hattie (Rich) Eagles. On August 26, 1949 she was united in marriage to Elmer Fletcher of Stigler, Oklahoma. They were married for 64 years.
Survivors include,
Daughters, Judy Foley (Dave) of Eldon, MO; Janice Cummings (Tom) of Tulsa, OK
Sister, Shirley Huskey of Biloxi, MS
Five Grandchildren, Davey, Kimberly, Michael, Angela & Kevin
Fourteen Great Grandchildren
Eight brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Maxine was a member of Berean Baptist Church of Tulsa, OK. She loved children and was active in teaching Sunday school, Vacation Bible School and women’s ministry. She operated a daycare in her home and always had a waiting list.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM the First Baptist Church of Eldon, MO. Maxine will be laid to rest next to her husband at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa, OK on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
Memorials in her name are suggested to the Women’s Ministry of the First Baptist Church of Eldon, MO.
