Martha Vodden, 87, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Eldon Nursing & Rehab in Eldon, Missouri.  She was born July 4, 1930 in Sugar City, Colorado the daughter of the late Harry Wayne Borton, Sr. and Catherine (Gephart).  She was united in marriage to Lee E. Lewis on September 29, 1950 in Gainesville, Missouri and then moved to Benton Harber, Michigan.  He preceded her in death in 1971.

Daughters, Cathy Golden (George) of Eldon, MO; Wanda Clark (Kenneth) of Jarrell, TX

Son, Robert Lewis (Loretta) of Harker Heights, TX

Grandchildren, Ericia Vedenhoupt, Matthew Cline (Jennifer), Justin Clark (Whitney), Martha Easten & Judy Lewis

Great Grandchildren, Connor Vedenhoupt, Madison Cline, Julie Cline, Mason Cline, Tyler Lewis, Kailey Easten & William Easten.

Martha returned to Eldon in 1962 and opened Mart’s Pizza House until 1970.  She then moved to Texas and met Donald Vodden and they were married in Santa Marie, CA on January 29, 1978.  She then returned to Eldon in 1996. 

Donald preceded her in January 2012.  Also preceding her are five brothers, Harry Wayne, Paul, Nathan (Tex), Clifford & Robert Borton, one sister, Thelma Hamilton, and two grandchildren, Misty & William.

Her body has been cremated and Graveside Services will be held at Greenmore Memorial Gardens near Barnett, MO at a later date.

Memorials in her name are suggested to Greenmore Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
