Johnnie W. DeGraffenreid

Johnnie W. DeGraffenreid, 93 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at California Care Center in California, Missouri.  He was born October 29, 1926 in Brumley, Missouri the son of the late Eleven C. and Ada Bell (Byrd) DeGraffenreid.  On August 20, 1949 in Tuscumbia, Missouri he was united in marriage to Olive Sue (Robinett) DeGraffenreid who preceded him in death on March 1, 2005.

Survivors include,

Daughters & Sons in law, Brenda & James Seaton of Eugene, MO; Rena Ryan & Robert Hager of Henley, MO

Son & Daughter in law, Gary & Sherry DeGraffenreid of Eugene, MO

Three Grandsons, One Granddaughter, Two Great Grandsons & One Great Granddaughter

Two Grandsons, Shannon James & Bryan Shane Seaton, one Great Granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth DeGraffenreid, four Brothers, Preston, Olen, Charles & Stanley DeGraffenreid, five Sisters, Beulah Shipley, Eulah Sutton, Lois Robinett, Lila Robinett & Ila Miller also preceded him in death.

Johnnie served in the United States Army during World War II.  He was a member of the Eldon VFW Post #2442 of Eldon, MO.  Johnnie was manager of Eldon Concrete Company for thirty-three years before retiring.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman and woodworker.

Visitation will be Friday, January 10, 2020 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with Pastor Lonnie Simpson officiating.  Burial will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery with Full Military Honors presented by the Eldon VFW Post #2442.

Memorials in his name are suggested the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Foundation.
