John "Jack" Kelly Obituary

John “Jack” F. Kelly, 84, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at his residence in Eldon, Missouri.  He was born September 5, 1933 in Moberly, Missouri, the son of the late John F. and Della M. (Pahmatory) Kelly.  On August 25, 1982 in Columbia, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Erma (Scott) Kelly who survives of the home with his Scottish Terrier “Buddy”.

Erma’s Great Great Niece & Nephews, Chris Porter, Bobbi Porter & Eric Lake

Jack attended and graduated the High School Division of the Moberly Junior College.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  Jack was employed with the Wabash, the Norfolk Western and the Norfolk Southern Railroad as a conductor until his retirement.  He was a member of the National Association of Retired & Veteran Railway Employees, Inc. and had just received his 50 year pin with the United Transportation Union.  He was also a member of what was formerly the UTU Alumni Association and is now known as the Smart TD Alumni Association, the Wabash Memorial Hospital Association, the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders Association and the National Trainers Association. After retiring, he and Erma began training Tennessee Walking Horses and operated A Touch of Style special events retail business together.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM with Full Military Honors following visitation at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.

Private Family Interment will be held at a later date.

Memorials in his name are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
