Jean Catherine Benedict-Yates, 62, of Lake Ozark, Missouri passed away Friday, May 25, 2018.
She was born January 15, 1956 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of the late Eugene Joseph Benedict and Wanda (Renken) Benedict.
Survivors include one brother, John Benedict, Washington, Missouri and one sister, Geri Benedict-Wiseman (Jim), Jefferson City, Missouri; and two nephews, Alex and Matt Benedict, Washington, Missouri, former husband Steve Yates, step-daughter Stephanie Yates and grandson Zander; and several loving cousins.
Jean was a Registered Nurse and worked at Lakeland Behavioral Health Systems as a Care Support Specialist. She had a wicked sense of humor, green thumb and a love of animals. She was a free spirit and did things her way. She was loved by all her friends. Her passing will leave a hole in many hearts! She could light up a room with her smile and her voice could sooth your soul.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO, with a Funeral Service following at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eldon, MO with Father Alex Gabriel officiating. Private Family Interment will be held at the Olean Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials in her name are suggested to the Dogwood Animal Shelter of Osage Beach, MO.
