Janice Kay Johnston, 77, of Marshall, Missouri passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. She was born March 10, 1941 in Eldon, Missouri the daughter of the late James Edward and Vinnie (Beckerdite) Johnston Lane.
Those surviving are her sister, Lane Johnston of Virginia. Also her loving friend and caregiver of thirty-eight years, Pat Weber and family of Marshall, MO. The staff and her peers were considered her family also as she loved each one of them in a special way.
Janice lived at Eastwood Acres in Marshall, MO for the past thirty-eight years. She retired from the sheltered workshop after several years’ attendance. Later she attended the Branch Out Activity Center. Janice greatly enjoyed the holidays, shopping and eating out. She was a member of Olivet Freewill Baptist Church. She loved spending time watching television westerns and Little House on the Prairie was one of her favorite shows. Janice was dearly loved by everyone that knew her as she was a beautiful person inside and out.
Burial will be private and Janice will be laid to rest near her parents at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Eldon, MO.
