Janet Imler Obituary

Janet Dee (McElwain) Imler, 75, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at her residence in Eldon, Missouri. She was born November 3, 1943, the daughter of the late John and Wanda (Foster) McElwain. On December 14, 1963 in Independence, Kansas she was united in marriage to Kenneth Imler who survives of the home.

Daughter, Kendra Porter, (Jeff) of California, MO

Son, Mark Imler of Lee’s Summit, MO

Nine Grandchildren & Three Great Grandchildren

Three Sisters, Jean McLaughlin of Meniffee, CA; Genneth Moon of Topeka, KS; Judy Skipper of Whitesburg, GA

Brother, John McElwain of Elk City, KS

Two sons, Jeffrey Douglas Imler and Matthew Dennis Imler, and a brother, Jimmy McElwain preceded her in death.

Janet greatly enjoyed visiting with friends and family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, daughter and sister.

Per her wishes her body has been cremated and a Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Hopewell Cemetery near Barnett, MO with Brother Bob Hoskins officiating.

Memorials in her name are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
