James E. Ruppel “Tattoo Jim”, 65, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 at his residence in Eldon, Missouri.  He was born June 17, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late James F. and Hester (Phillips) Ruppel.  On July 15, 1971 in Jefferson City, Missouri he was united in marriage to Shirley (Sundermeyer) Ruppel who survives of the home.

James was baptized as a Seventh Day Adventist.  He was employed as a brick mason for twenty-one years and then was owner and operator of several tattoo shops.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.  Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM also at Phillips Funeral Home with Sonny Meyer officiating.  Burial will follow at Robinett Cemetery in Brumley, MO.
