Geraldine Beatrice Hull Dunstan went peacefully August 6, 2017, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Geraldine was born on December 7, 1913, in Barnett, Missouri, the daughter of Grover Cleveland Hull and Mary Rebecca Routon Hull.  She was second eldest in a family of eight children.  On March 5, 1937, she married her childhood sweetheart, Emmett (Speck) W. Dunstan, who preceded her in death in 1997.  Geraldine lived in the Barnett community all her life except for a period during World War II when she and Emmett worked at the airplane factory in Kansas City.  She was a “Rosie the Riveter.”

Geraldine was active in her church and community, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and engaging in many other activities.  She was the church organist at Barnett Union Church and at Fellowship Bible Church in Eldon for many years.  She was a homemaker and seamstress, making many clothes for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Her life was God and her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Myrna Jo (Roy) Herren of Eldon and son, Dayle Lynn (Nancy) Dunstan of Barnett.  She is also survived by a brother, Howard (Glynelle) Hull of Bridgeton and grandchildren, Mitchell (Lisa) Herren, David (Rebecca) Herren, Sandra (Terry) Colhour, Nichole (Shilo) Bethards, and great-grandchildren, Brooke (Tyler) Mueller, Taylor Herren, Lauren Herren, Hannah Herren, Eden Herren, Cassidy Colhour, Quinton Colhour, Audrey Colhour, Ashton Bethards, and Tia Bethards, plus many nieces and nephews.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; brothers James, Emil Joseph, J.T., and Donald; infant sister Willie Louise; and sister Maxine Gangwish.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:30 PM, Thursday, August 10, at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon with the funeral services beginning at 2:30 with Pastor Jim Shepherd officiating.  Interment will be at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett.

In Lieu of Flowers contributions can be made to Fellowship Bible Church Camp Fund or Ethnos 360, formerly known as New Tribes Mission or Hospice Compassus.
