Gary Harold Lindsey

Gary H. Lindsey, age 70, was born on September 28, 1947 in Peoria, IL to the late Harold and Faye Lindsey.  He departed this life Thursday morning, February 1, 2018 at his home in Russellville, MO.  Gary was united in marriage to Pamela Sue Darr on May 10, 1969 and to this union was born four daughters.  He worked at Ozark Airlines where he met his wife.  Gary took pride in their farm, Hermit’s Haven in Urbana, MO.  He and his daughters raised and showed registered Gelbvieh cattle.  They later moved to Eldon, MO where Gary was employed at Freightways, Inc. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking his grandchildren for tractor or lawnmower rides.  He also enjoyed spending time working in the garage.Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Faye Lindsey and one brother, Dennis Charles Lindsey.  He is survived by his wife Pamela of the home, 4 daughters: Jan (Jerald) Mabary of Urbana, MO, Cheryl Grey of Gladstone, MO, Kim (Bill) Berry of Tunas, MO, Carrie (Aaron) Hendren of Hannibal, MO, a brother Donald (Barb) Lindsey, a sister Deborah (Orville) Fetters, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed by a plethora of nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with Pastor Jeff Cole officiating.  Private Family Interment will be held at a later date. Memorials in his name are suggested to Good Shepherd Care Center of Versailles, MO.Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
