Eugene Ray Alexander, 64, died due to cancer Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Eldon Nursing and Rehab.
He was born Oct. 18, 1954, in Tuscumbia, Mo., to Orville Raymond and Wilma Frances (McConnell) Alexander, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons, David Alexander of Eldon, Adam Alexander of Springfield, and Randal Alexander of Nixa; three step-daughters, Dana (Dwayne) Thomas of Eldon, Regina (R.T.) Lowry of Buchanan, Tenn., and Jennifer (Richard) Wiltrout of Springville, Tenn.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Paula Lewis of Branson, Sharene (Dane) Vernon of Eldon, and Luan Madole of Petersburg, Alaska; many nieces and nephews; his step-mother, Margaret Alexander of Eldon; his significant other, Linda Harbison of Eldon; and a special uncle and aunt, Paul and Claudine Alexander of Excelsior Springs and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Tom Madole.
Eugene graduated from Eldon High School in 1973. He worked as a boat pilot for Trico Dock Center in Osage Beach for 32 years until he was diagnosed with cancer. He was also an auctioneer.
Eugene’s favorite foods were fish sandwiches from McDonald’s and Cree Mee chili cheese dogs along with a marshmallow Pepsi and Java Monster Loca Mocas.
Spending time with, and loving on, his grandchildren was a favorite pastime.
He was cremated under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon. Visitors will be received from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, at Blue Springs Baptist Church.
