Charles Scott Obituary

Charles L. Scott, 86, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Ozark Nursing & Rehab in Osage Beach, Missouri.  He was born December 22, 1931 in Southard, Missouri, the son of the late Stoney and Bessie (Matthews) Scott. ON June 3, 1954 in Plato, Missouri he was united in marriage to Doris Jane (Koenig) Scott who preceded him in death on October 6, 2009.

 

Survivors include:

Sons, Mike Scott (Joy) of Barnett, MO; Steve Scott & Tim Scott both of Independence, MO

Four Grandchildren & Three Great Grandchildren

Two sisters, Almira Jackson & Agnes Howser preceded him in death.

Charles served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the Eldon VFW Post #2442 of Eldon, MO.  He was employed as a railroad engineer for thirty-one years before retiring.  He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Eldon, MO.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. David White officiating.  Burial will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery.

Memorials in his name are suggested to Hospice Compassus.
