Aliene (Wright) Currence

Aliene Currence, 96 of Barnett, Missouri passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at her residence in Barnett, Missouri.  She was born June 28, 1923 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of the late John and Alpha (Abbott) Wright.  On August 3, 1947 in Kansas City, Kansas she was united in marriage to Wilford Currence who preceded her in death on January 12, 2016.

Survivors include,

Son, Joe Currence (Vera) of Eldon, MO

Son in law, Floyd Ouderkirk of Barnett, MO

Eight Grandchildren, Twelve Great Grandchildren & Four Great Great Grandchildren

Two Sisters, Glenna Ewing of Spring Hill, KS; Beverly Cobb of Grandview, MO

A daughter, Judy Ouderkirk, one brother, John Wright, Jr., and two sisters, Rosalie Bradford & Leta Grogan, & one granddaughter, Brenda Noland preceded her in death.

Aliene was a lifetime member of the Greenridge Baptist Church of Eldon, MO and also a member of the Manning Club.  Along with being an avid quilter and seamstress she enjoyed cooking for her family.

Visitation will be Monday September 30, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM with Brother Kent Hutcherson officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO.

Memorials in her name are suggested to the Greenridge Baptist Church.
