Robert "Bob" Reese Obituary

Robert  “Bob” Thomas Reese, 72 of Rocky Mount, Missouri passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 at his residence in Rocky Mount, Missouri.  He was born July 13, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Ralph and Shirley (Fischer) Reese.  He was the oldest four children.  He attended John Glenn High School in Westland, Michigan, graduating in 1971.  It was here that he met and eventually married Gayle Lepere and they had two amazing children, Shawn Marie Reese and Michael Thomas Reese.

After high school, Bob went on to become a Master Plumber, following in his father’s footsteps where they started their own business together in 1983.  In the mid 80’s, Bob relocated to Lakeland, FL, where he owned and operated a successful restaurant, Fat Jacks.  After nearly ten years Bob decided it was time to retire to the Lake of the Ozarks, but retirement did not last long.  In 1993, Bob purchased Northshore Shopping Center in Rocky Mount, MO.  He spent the next twenty years there with his son Mike and officially retired in 2013.

Bob was united in marriage to Kathleen (Myers) Reese on December 7, 2006, she survives of the home.  Others surviving him, a daughter, Shawn (fiancé Scott) of Phoenix, AZ; son, Mike (Jessica) of Lake Ozark, MO; grandchildren, Michael V, Tia, Jackson and Xander, brothers, Rick (June) of Manistee, MI, Steve (Denise) of Manistee, MI; sister, Nancy Wilson of Manistee, MI; and two great-grandsons, Blake and Hunter.

He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley in 2005 and by his father Ralph on April 4, 2024.

Bob was a motorcycle enthusiast, he loved fishing, boating, NASCAR but his greatest love was his family.

Per his wishes, his body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life is being planned at a later date.

Memorials in his name are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Dementia Society of America.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
