Ruth Craig, 103, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach, Missouri.  She was born August 13, 1913 in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of the late William D. & Jennie Lou (Durham) Long.  On January 8, 1940 in Las Vegas, Nevada she was united in marriage to Harley Craig who preceded her in death on September 19, 1997.

Several Nieces, Nephews, many good friends and well-wishers

Three of her siblings preceded her in death.

Ruth was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Eldon, MO.  She was a member of the Business & Professional Women’s Association of Eldon, MO.  She was a fifty year member of the Eastern Star and past Worthy Matron.  Ruth owned and operated the Fountain Motel in Eldon with her husband Harley from 1950 to 1960.  They then owned and operated the Missouri Aquarium at Lake of the Ozarks from 1958 to 1979.  She enjoyed traveling and RVing and loved Sanibel Island in Lee County, Florida during her retirement.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM beginning with an Eastern Star Service at 2:00 PM followed by the Funeral Service with Pastor Jim Day officiating.  Interment will follow at Dooley Cemetery near Eldon, MO.  Memorials in her name are suggested to Dooley Cemetery.
