Robert “Bob” Boyd, 71, of Barnett, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Harry S. Truman VA Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.  He was born June 30, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Maxwell and Mildred (Choate) Boyd.  On December 5, 1981 in Fenton, Missouri he was united in marriage to Becky (Davis) Boyd who survives of the home.

Two Grandchildren, Haylee & Keely

Sisters, Nancy Osborne (Bob) of Florissant, MO; Linda Smith of O’Fallon, MO

Brothers, Eddie Boyd (Ellen) of Florida; Jimmy Boyd (Jeannie) of North Carolina

Several Nieces & Nephews

Bob was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving as a Sergeant.  He then was employed as a respiratory therapist for forty years before retiring in 2012.  He was a longtime member of the Blue Springs Baptist Church serving as an usher and Sunday school teacher.  He was an avid golfer and loved being outdoors.

Visitation will be Friday, August 4, 2017 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Blue Springs Baptist Church with the Funeral Service beginning at 5:00 PM with Pastor Lonnie Simpson officiating.  Full Military Honors will follow at the church.

Private Family Interment will be held at a later date. 

Memorials in his name are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Blue Springs Baptist Church.
