Lucille M. Turner, 97, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at her residence in Eldon, Missouri.  She was born on December 13, 1919 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.  On November 29, 1944 she was united in marriage to William E. Turner who preceded her in death on March 31, 1979. 

She is survived by her lifelong friend of fifty-years, Maxine Bond of Eldon, MO.

Preceding her in death was her companion of thirty plus years, Earl Lawhorn.

Lucille was instrumental in creating the Humane Society in Eldon, MO.  She was also a political volunteer, and dedicated many hours to Gov. Kit Bond’s office during his political career.

Lucille was cared for in her last days through Preferred Hospice and would like Memorials in her name given to them and or the Humane Society.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM with Chaplain Eddie Schoeneberg officiating.  Burial will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery.
