Jerry Jones

Jerry Jones, 81, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at his residence in Eldon, Missouri surrounded by love.  He was born July 12, 1936 in Mt. Pleasant, Missouri the son of the late Leo and Mary (Wetzel) Jones.  On July 13, 1956 in Mt. Pleasant, Missouri he was united in marriage to Joan (Stone) Jones who preceded him in death on October 26, 2014.

Jerry and his wife moved to Pomona, CA in 1963 where he was employed with General Dynamics until 1978 when they returned to Missouri.  They were owners of the Eldon News Agency in Eldon, MO for over forty years.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Memorial Service beginning at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Coleman officiating.  Private Family Interment will be held at a later date.

Memorials in his name are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
