Homer C. Bell, 94, of Tuscumbia, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at home, surrounded by his loving family.  Born July 29, 1922 in Low Wassie, MO, he was a son of the late Floral and Elsie (Winters) Bell.  He was united in marriage to Pauline ( McAfee) Bell June 14, 1947 in Pocahontas, Arkansas.

He was a decorated WW II US Army Veteran and a lifelong farmer.

Survivors include his wife Pauline (McAfee) Bell of the home; two sons, Chuck and Karri Bell, Jim and Barbara Bell all of Tuscumbia; four grandchildren, Rebecca Jones, Chad Bell, Dustin Bell, and Dalen Bell; six great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren.

Homer was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Rachel Purdy; three brothers, Ray Bell, Ross Bell, Ted Bell; five sisters, Mabel DeLong, Alva Hale, Olive Roy, Nora Stroup, and Pearl Wood.

Visitation will be Friday, August 26th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home, 5 South Oak Street, Eldon, MO followed by a service at the funeral home with Buena Huffman Officiating.  Burial, with military honors, will be in Eugene Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Eugene Cemetery in Homer’s memory.
