Ethel was the heart and hearth of Our Lady of the Snows when I was teaching there. She was always ready to help you with a cooking project or kid who needed an extra hug...and she made the best rolls I've ever eaten! She was an amazing woman, and I was lucky to know her.

I am so sorry for your loss. We are so fortunate to have known you both from our visits to rehab and the nursing home. Mom enjoyed your company and we so appreciated you, Wilbur, looking after the ladies at Ethel's table. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Take care.

Our sincere sympathy to Ethel's family. You were so fortunate to have this lovey lady in your lives. Thirty years ago, she catered a large dinner for our family and friends. Since that event, every time we would meet Ethel, no matter where it was, we always received one of her famous hugs. We will never forget her and will miss those hugs until we meet again. We count our blessings to have known this sweet lady. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this sad time in your lives.

Not many people in this world were as lucky as the students of Our Lady of the Snows. Ethel was one of the reasons. She cooked our food, hugged our tears, and made sure we got back to class when we needed that too. My daughters were fortunate enough to work by her side in her business. They tell great stories about riding with Ethel in the van. I can't believe a woman as strong as Ethel is gone. My sympathy to everyone. She is greatly missed.

She was truly a special lady! Her cinnamon rolls were the best. Most of all she had a beautiful smile that could light up a room.

Sorry for your loss!

To the loving family and many friends of Ethel:
May you see God's light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear, even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember when the shadows fall -
You do not walk alone.
