Charles W. “Bud” Blackburn, 83, of Eugene, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Miller County Nursing and Rehab in Tuscumbia, Missouri.  He was born May 5, 1934 in Eugene, Missouri the son of the late Nile and Irene (Duncan) Blackburn.  On May 25, 1979 in Eldon, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Mary Etta (Chilton) Blackburn who preceded him in death on February 12, 1998.

Two sisters, Wanda Lou Carrender and Peggy Sue Hager preceded him in death.

He served in the United States Army and was employed mostly with Rock Island Railroad as well as Union Pacific for thirty-four years before retiring as a conductor.  He was a rancher most of his life and a former member of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association and the American Gelbvieh Association.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.  Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10:00 AM also at the Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Jubal Blackburn officiating.  Interment will follow at Eugene Cemetery with Full Military Honors presented.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
